playing in dad's closet

Vintage sweater that belonged to my dad / Bik Bok shirt / Old Navy Pants / Primark bag / Shoes from Queen West shop.

I found this chunky knit sweater, my dad's old sweater, in a box I keep of my parents' clothes for when they come visit. He had this sweater since I was a baby (23 years ago!). I remember being a teenager and absolutely detesting this sweater. My mom, my sister and I wanted him to burn it. Fast-forward 8 years and I love it. Big oversized sweaters just seem to be doing the trick for me these days. I especially love the details on this one, like the suede shoulders and pockets and the gold detailing on the buttons. Have you ever found your parents' old things to be just perfect for you today?

  3. That is fun! I would never have guessed seeing you on the street that it was your dad's sweater! Guess that takes menswear to a whole new level! My mom always tells me, "Oh, I used to have something like that." And I'm always thinking, "Why didn't you keep it?" LOL
