déjà vu

Dress from Camden Market / Suzy Shier sleeveless trench coat / Costa Blanca belt / Primark shoes / H&M bag

Have you ever noticed if there's one particular item in your closet that you always style the same way? After snapping these photos, I realized that the last time I wore this dress I also paired it with a trench-ish jacket (see here). I just really like it layered! That's okay though, because I did change up my hair a bit (and by a bit I mean major for me). I never wear my hair straight. I think it makes my face look big (personal insecurity issues - don't judge me! lol). But a change is always nice. Let's see how long I keep it up for.

oldie but a goodie

H&M maxi dress / Ali & Kris faux leather jacket and belt / Aldo clutch

This dress is about 3 years old, but it doesn't really get old, nor should it ever. I love its wild print and free floating shape. I hope everyone's week so going well! I'm just trying not to drown with all the post-vacay things; like work and errands. I will have pictures from my trip by the end of the week!

new neon kicks

H&M shirt, shorts, bag and shoes / Stella & Dot ring

Obsessed with my new neon ankle strap sandals from H&M. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen these. The best part is - they were less than $40.00! I would have totally been willing to pay for these (currently obsessed with neon yellow), but you can't beat that price. Pretty sure I'll be practically living in these sandals this summer (talk about cost per wear!). They will be an easy way to add colour and glam to my usual summer uniform of jean cut offs and a tee. I already have so many outfits in mind!

blues and neons

Zara top / H&M skirt and shoes / Aldo bag / Forever 21 cuff

I'm back from my vacation in Haiti. Though I'm happy to be home and especially happy to see my doggie, I'm dreading this work week. Taking one week of vacation always results in two weeks of playing catch up. Oh, the joys of being a working adult! I'll definitely need to reward myself with a little shopping at the end of the week. Onto the outfit. I love pairing cobalt blue with brights. First it was pink (still one of my favourite colour combinations). Now I find the perfect pairing to be with bright, neon yellow. It just goes so well together! And besides they're (almost) complimentary colours!

Happy Monday!

safari chic

Smart Set trench / Old denim jacket (can't remember) / H&M shirt, bag and old jeans cut into shorts / Fossil shoes

Trench over denim. I think I'll also have to try it with my chambray shirt. I like the layered look of it. I haven't been able to do "outfit shots" while I've been away, but I'll have lots of pictures to share! Happy almost weekend!

I literally have 5 minutes to do this post right now (currently in Haiti). I hope you all had a fantastic long weekend. Here's a dress from H&M I got for my trip! (pictures taken last week).

daytime casual

H&M denim jacket (last year) dress and belt / Urban Outfitters sandals

A little daytime casual outfit. It's always nice to switch out of jeans and tee when running errands. A simple casual dress is just as practical and possibly even more comfortable. And flats are always a girls best friend where there is a ton walking around involved. Happy Hump Day!

PS: Thank you so much for all of your help with the dress hunt! Of course I'll let you know what I find (outfit photos perhaps!). And I will definitely be taking pictures while I'm away to share when I come back.

high low leather

Dollhouse Jacket / H&M T-shirt / Forever 21 skirt / Primak shoes / Costa Blanca bag

Happy Monday! I'm not feeling very refreshed after this passed weekend. It was a great weekend - just no down time (well none that lasted long enough). I feel like I was running around non-stop. My weekend consisted of going out for drinks with friends, running errands, going out for brunch with girlfriends (followed by some vintage shopping at the St. Lawrence Market!) and then some more errands. I'm going on trip Haiti next week (leaving Saturday actually). I'm looking for a semi-formal dress for an event and I'm having no luck. I officially have 5 days to find one, but no pressure. What are your go-to stores for semi-formal wear when you're freaking out last minute like I currently am right now?

almost nautical

Forever 21 Blazer and skirt worn as top / H&M skirt / Jessica Simpson clutch / Shoes from random shop in Montreal

I was first thinking nautical when I had on the top, but then i just went a totally different way.

Happy Weekend and a Happy Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! You are most appreciated!

last friday night

Mendocino shirt / H&M pants

Well actually it was Saturday, but a little Katy Perry won't hurt anyone. Had some friends over and we stayed in for the night. This is a majorly dressed down outfit for a change (and really it's all I've been wearing for the past few days!). Our dog had to go for surgery for bladder stones and we've just been stressing and worrying. Everything went well though *smiles from ear to ear*. He gets to come back home today and I seriously can't wait to see him.

denim on denim

Forever 21 chambray shirt / H&M men's jeans cut into shorts and clutch / Tahari shoes via DSW

Happy Monday. Kinda loving the 1990's look of this denim on denim ensemble. Hope your week started off fab!

hello yellow

Banana Republic top / Forever 21 skirt and shoes / Costa Blanca bag / H&M belt / Aldo bangles

Quick outfit post. I love the combination of light and muted colours together. Something about it feels very fresh and springy. I still managed to throw in some pop (I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm a sucker for a nice punch of colour!). With the top however, the cream skirt, light rose bag and tan shoes still feel one-tonal.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

in my pink jeans

Okay so I'm kind of going crazy with my coloured denim collection, but it's not my fault! It's so easy to slip them on instead of the regular blue jeans yet you still get that blue jean comfort. All I need now is to add a yellow pair to close the collection! And then maybe I'll move into printed denim territory. This is an outfit from this past weekend (where I honestly did nothing because I was catching up on 3 seasons of Grey's Anatomy) when I took my pup to the doggy park.  Hope your week's going well so far!
