blue tweed

Forever 21 tweed jacket / Mendocino shirt / Zara leggings / H&M bag
Shoes from random shop / Gifted necklace / Various bangles from H&M, Costa Blanca and Forever 21

Nothing like a cute little tweed number to jazz up leggings and and old shirt. I've never actually been a fan of tweed, but I love the cool blues and greys in this jacket. The right colour combination can make a world of difference.

black, white and orange

Dollhouse leather jacket / Wildfox tee via Harvey Nichols (London) / H&M skirt
Aldo bag / Jay Manuel shoes / Forever 21 chain bracelet

Edging up a pencil skirt can be really fun. Here I did it with a tied up tee, leather jacket and a bold orange lip. This is definitely one of my favourite looks heading into spring. Speaking of spring - I'm dying for it right now. There's just too much snow everywhere... and it's ugly snow. \Well I hope your week is off to a good start!

repeat offender

H&M jacket, pants, and bag / Zara top / Costa Blanca booties

H&M jacket, skirt and bag / Club Monaco top / Forever 21 bracelets / DIY necklace by me

Just this past weekend I came across this jacket in my closet from ages ago (literally from over 4 years ago). Needless to say, I've been wearing it more often than I care to admit at this point. So why not do an outfit post on the different looks? The first look I wore for a weekend brunch and shopping date. For the second look I paired it with a skirt, a sparky clutch and a messy bun and out for drinks. I love the spring floral pattern of the jacket, but I also love that the flowers are so small they're almost muted. Rediscovering my own clothes again almost serves as a shopping fix. Who doesn't love a shopping fix!

simple layers

Suzy Shier sleeveless Trench / Ali & Kris leather jacket / Zara tee and jeans / H&M shoes and bag

Happy Family Day/Presidents' Day (Canada/US)! I wore this outfit over the weekend for a quick coffee date (obviously had to ditch the puffy coat and winter boots for the pics). It was one of those "Ahhh - I have nothing to wear" moments, freaking out 10 minutes before I had to leave. So I just  threw on a bunch of layers and it worked. A tee, leather jacket and sleeveless trench and it actually looks somewhat put together.

love day

Forever 21 blouse / Urban Behavior jeans / Aldo shoes and bag

Happy Valentine's Day! While I'm not the biggest Valentine's Day advocate, I do love love. I hope your Valentine's Day was full of love, whether it was with a significant other, family or friends. I actually wore this outfit last week for a date night with the man friend, but I figured I would save red for Love Day.

pastel and lace

Banana Republic men's sweater / Forever 21 lace skirt / H&M tights / Costa Blanca bootiess
Aldo bag / Gifted necklace / Vintage watch

Happy hump-day! I'm so happy it's already Wednesday. Started the week off feeling a bit under the weather and now we're just a couple days away from me sitting on the couch (or staying in bed), catching up on TV shows (probably on my laptop) and occasionally munching on some yummy snacks (namely ice cream). I'm officially sticking to winterzing my entire wardrobe and the items du jour are a pastel blue sweater and a cream lace skirt. The sweater, the tights and the booties almost distract from the light coloured lace. I must admit, finding ways to incorporate these pieces is a very fun challenge.

printed on a rock

Old Navy coat / H&M hat and shirt / Zara printed pants / Jay Manuel heels
Costa Blanca bag / Forever 21 necklace /

Yup - I'm standing on a little one man rock island surrounded by a sea of snow (a couple days post snow storm, might I add). Yet somehow I still find myself refusing to face the fact that it's winter (brutal), and instead I'm wearing spring/summer pieces and winterizing them. I guess I'm on a mission - no colours, textures, patterns or prints left behind! I'll let you know how that goes. Hope your week is off to a great start.

winter white

Old Navy sweater / Forever 21 jeans and chain bracelet/ Aldo shoes / H&M tank top and bag

I think a well fitting pair white jeans is a closet staple that definitely should not be limited to spring/summer weather. Pairing white jeans with winterized items is what makes it appropriate during the winter months (like a chunky knit sweater or a peacoat and a tuque). I'd also say that the same goes for fall (like with a trench coat and deep jewel tones). So why tuck them away for half the year when they can be styled all year round?
