contrast

Dollhouse leather jacket / H&M dress / Urban Behaviour bag / Qupid shoes

You may remember this dress a little while ago from my birthday post. It's such a simple dress that I love finding different ways to wear it. I love the contrast of the black and white, and also the contrast of the girlie dress and an edginess of a leather jacket. And of course (of course!), a pop of colour with the heels!

monochromatic - pastels

Guest blogging for Ashliegh over at The Darling Prepster today!. Check out my little guide on wearing a monochromatic look and see the rest of the outfit photos on her blog.

another version

Dress from Camden Market (London trip) / H&M vest, shoes and bag

After snapping these pictures, I realized that I've worn different versions of this outfit before (seen here, here and here). Something about this dress clearly screams 'layer!' to me. Why fight it?

the canadian tuxedo

Forever 21 shirt / H&M men's jeans turned into shorts / GoJane.com shoes / Aldo bag

Happy Monday! Oh Canada - this is one tuxedo I'll gladly wear. Denim on denim is unequivocally
one of my favourite casual looks. Dressing it up... well that's even better.

plain white t and acid wash jeans

H&M t and jeans / GoJane.com shoes / Aldo bag

Happy Friday! A quick, simple outfit post for today. As much as I love dresses and skirts, I'm definitely more of a jean and a t-shirt girl... and it rarely makes it onto the blog.

embrace it

H&M top / Urban Outfitters skirt / Urban Behaviour bag / GoJane.com shoes

Not my every day look, but definitely fun for a girls nigh tout. I'm also challenging myself to change it up with my hair a bit more. I tend to stay away from my hair away from my face, mostly because I have a big forehead (fact), but I'm slowly starting to embrace it. And besides, the drama of a top-of-the-head high, messy bun - simply too much fun.

I'd also just like to take a moment to say thank you to Dinesha of The Eye for a really nice interview. We talked about self-esteem and confidence (which she is currently focusing on) and then just some fun fashion and music stuff. Check out her blog and all the other blogger interviews she does!

cobalt pumps

My mother's old white shirt / H&M shorts (very old) and clutch (new) / Zara heels / MAC's Lady Danger lipstick

I am very much into simplicity at the moment, with pops of colour of course. These Zara shoes are definitely my favourite pair at the moment. I think I've said this a thousand times before, but cobalt blue is my absolute favourite colour. Shoes are my favourite accessory. So in other words, these shoes were made for me and I just wanted to showcase them. Neutrals and cobalt blue - this combination never gets old.

On another note, I wanted to share a blogger feature. Luci of Luci's Morsels included me in this week's Saturday Blogger Feature. I love her blog because it's all about fashion, food, and a lot more in between (like beauty tips, DIYs and tutorials). And on top of that, she's just a genuinely sweet person, so be sure to check out her blog.

PS: I hope all my American readers had an amazing Fourth of July weekend!

classics and basics

Suzy Shier sleeveless trench / Target shirt / Zara leggings / Aldo bag / GoJane.com shoes

Throwing together classics and basics is definitely a foolproof way of ensuring a decent outfit. We were out for the day and I had to make sure my outfit could transition if we decided to do something that required me dressing up a little bit. I wore the white tee and leggings all day with flip flops (I always have flats handy). And for dinner I threw on the ankle strap heels and sleeveless trench to polish it off. Just two items to make the difference.

PS: Thank you so much for the birthday wishes on my last post and on Instagram (@myvoguishdiaries). I really appreciate it!
