light + crisp

H&M sweater / Winners skirt / Gojane shoes / Bag from local shop

Happy Monday! I love how crisp a white white and light grey are together. Although fall is all about the warm colours and the deep jewel tones, I think there's always room for that perfect white piece. I settled on red as my pop of colour mostly just because it's a gorgeous colour which I don't wear enough. I hope you all had a good weekend!

plain + simple

H&M vest, top, jeans and bag / Aldo boots

Happy Friday! Here is a very basic look that's easy to put together. With the weather getting a little cooler, I'm always reaching for a layering option. I've literally used and abused this utility vest since I got it a couple years ago. It layers so perfectly with pretty much everything from t-shirts, dresses, sweaters and jackets. Definitely on my fall must-have list. I was on a hunt for the perfect pair of fall boots for a few weeks. Aldo to the rescue. I fell in love with these, waited it out a bit, and then managed to score them on sale (it's always just a little bit sweeter when stuff's on sale, right!?!). So my utility jacket and my ankle boots - those are my top two fall must-have items.

printed

Target top and shoes / Forever 21 skirt / Primak bag / Banana Republic necklace

While a bold print can be overwhelming on my frame, I love when it's on something fitted and structured. Being only 5 feet tall, I have to be really careful not to drown in printed pieces. I tend to stick to solids, but I couldn't help myself with this one. It's been perfect for the end of summer because it's a fun print, but it will also be perfect for fall because of the deep jewel tones in it. Transitional pieces are always good in my book.

a change for autum

H&M blazer, top and jeans / Call it Spring shoes

Happy Fall! Sweater weather, trench coats, knit scarves, structured blazers, closed to shoes and boots... Well it's officially here and I'm excited to transition my wardrobe from summer to fall. For the change in seasons, I decided to change my hair just a touch. Lighter for fall. Here's an outfit that will most likely be on heavy rotation for a while. I'm currently obsessed with this blazer I just picked up from H&M. Love the leather detailing and the classic shape.

my bridal diaries: engagement photos

Outfit 1 - on him: H&M polo shirt and jeans / Nike shoes
Outfit 1 - on her: American Eagle tee / Garage jeans / Aldo shoes
Outfit 2 - on him: H&M blazer, Banana Republic shirt / Zara jeans / Aldo shoes
Outfit 2 - on her: Zara dress / Gojane shoes / Gifted necklace

Here are a few of my favourite shots from our engagement photos. We had amazing photographers, Noel and Will of Noel Young Photography.  They captured everything we wanted and then some. It was such a great experience. We honestly had so much fun and that only carried on for the actual wedding day. About half an hour after finishing the session, it started to pour. Yay for luck!

fall-ing already

Forever 21 shirt and skirt / Gojane shoes / H&M clutch

The end of the summer and the beginning of fall is probably my favourite time of year. It's still warm out, but occasionally calls for light layering. It's also the time the time to play with the deeper tones and warmer tones. I bought this pencil skirt a couple months back and I've had it tucked away in my closet until now. I'm already calling it that emerald /dark/deep green will be my colour of the season.

white peplum

Topshop peplum shirt / H&M jeans / Aldo bag / Spring shoes

My first outfit post in a while. And also my first outfit one as a married lady! We just had our wedding this past weekend and it was a blast. However, it's left me very, very tired. I averaged 2-3 hours of sleep each night for the 4 days leading up to the big day. I was also living in yoga pants, extra large t-shirts, no makeup and disgusting hair - nothing you want to see, trust me. I resorted to peplum and a swipe of lispstick to pull me out of this bummy phase. It just has a way bringing that little bit of sexy back.
