It is insanely cold in Toronto (read: insanely cold), so I'm escaping with thoughts of Spring. Here's a little inspiration for you.

Old Navy coat and pants / H&M shirt and bag / Primark tuque and shoes / MAC's Heroine lipstick

I am currently obsessed with MAC's Heroine lipstivery bright and very purple, so for now, I can't have too much colour while that's happening. I'm wearing mostly black here because a) you can rarely go wrong with black and b) it's just really easy. I hope you all had a great weekend!ck. It's both

Handmade Headband from my friend / Urban Behavior coat (old) / Birksha pants
Pink Blush top / TopShop bag / Forever 21 boots

Hope you all had a great weekend! Keeping it short and sweet today. How cute is this headband! A friend of mine knits them herself and I was super lucky to score a couple. I don't wear read often, but this headband kind of inspired the whole look.

sausage and shrimp jambalaya

4.2.15

I love a good one pot dish, especially one that includes shrimp. Jambalaya isn't something I make on a regular basis, but when I do, I always ask myself why I don't make it more often. It's so easy! And so delicious! I love spicy food so this is right up my alley. Here's an easy to follow recipe from She Knows (also below, click to read more). The whole thing maybe takes 45-50 min top to bottom, but it's so worth it. And here's a recipe on how to make your own Cajun seasoning - definitely necessary for jambalaya!

H&M sweater / Bershka pants / Primark boots / TopShop bag

Happy Monday! Here is a very simple outfit that has been on heavy rotation lately. Comfy, oversized sweaters are my go-to this time of year and as I've said before, they are my only true joy of the winter months. I'm just obsessed, really. They're so easy to style; you can wear it plain, or layer with a button down. You can glam it up with chunky jewellery or with nothing at all. Regardless, it's still stylish and classic. What attracted me to this sweater was the colour. I love the deep mustard / tan colour. I almost reached for the grey one but then quickly set it aside for this one. This one is definitely sticking around until spring!
