But I love him so

Denim jacket - gift / Tank top and bracelet - H & M / Skirt - Forever 21 / Shoes - Suzy Shier

I love my puppy! He's loves being around us to much. It's the cutest thing in the world. Once he noticed we were snapping a few pictures, there was no keeping him away. So denim jackets are everywhere right now, and I love it! To be completely honest, I never gave up on it. For the last few years, denim jackets weren't "cool" but I didn't care! And now I'm so happy I can bust them out more often! I love this denim vest. Reminds me of like Janet Jackson and Madonna and that whole grunge glam era.

Shrimp and mango, mango and shrimp

The other day I was at Winners and while at the cash register, I saw this book "Everyday Thai, A Collection of over 100 Essential Recipes." Had to get it! Best part is, it was only $3.99! There's a Shrimp and Papaya recipe in there that looked very delish... Only problem is, I hate papaya. So I remixed it and made it a Shrimp and Mango Salad. This is ridiculously easy to make!

Here are your ingredients: Shrimp, mangoes, chili peppers, red peppers, scallions (green onions), and whichever green leafs you wanna go for. You will also need fish juice, olive oil, lemon and brown sugar. Slice your mangoes in thin-ish slices and put them aside with your shrimp. Cut up the scallions and the peppers as small as you can. put in 1 teaspoon of fish juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. I then added that dressing to my bowl of shrimp and mangoes. Mix it well, and put the whole thing over your bed of greens. Et voila! It literally takes less than 5 minutes and it takes amazing!

Let's play a dress-up game

Scarlett Johansson dresses up as Marlene Dietrich, Buster keaton, Sarah Bernhardt and Giulietta Masina in W Magazine's latest issue. The most amazing part of these transformations are the beautiful high fashion pieces from Oscar de la Renta to Escada. This shoot was apparently her idea! Which is awesome because she's always so flawless and pretty. Granted she still looks flawless and pretty in this shoot, but it's more in a "let's play dress up and stay true to the character" kind of way. Loving it all around!

Dear Santa...

I've been obsessing with this Burberry Leather Peplum Biker Jacket for quite some time now. I love the trench version and the beige one as well. This bad boy is about $4,000.00 and up. Santa, if you're out there...

That looks delish!

Ryan Reynolds is on Details Magazine's June cover. He's looking way too delicious. Not much else to say... so enjoy.

Pleasantly surprised

When I think of ladies who always wow me on the red carpet, Uma Thurman is definitely not on that list. To be perfectly honest, I've never been excited about her (maybe with the exception of her feirce ass kicking in "Kill Bill"). This past month at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Uma has been absolutely killing it. In my opinion, she's undoubtedly the best dressed. Here are some of my favourite looks for her.

I am obsessed with this Giorgio Armani Prive dress! The colour, the fabric, the fit, the back! To die! Think about how amazing her body has to be to pull it off!

This Versace dress is picture perfect. I love the Chopard jewlery she paired with with. Flawless. And how yummy is Jude Law! Love his sense of sense of style.

I usually do not like roses on gowns, but for some reason, i'm drawned to this Chanel Haute Couture gown! I think its because it's not overdone, and its simple. Love that she went for comfort while looking glam.

Taking a load off

Glee starlet Diana Agron recently cut off that gorgeous blond hair. And might I say, it looks awesome. But I guess being that pretty means its really hard not to look pretty. I think summertime is a perfect time to go short... if you have the balls to! Keira Knightley and Brooklyn Decker have also gone short in the last few months. I'm loving this looks. PS: obsessed with Keira's full brows!

We moved into our place in October of last year. At first, I was completely obsessed with decorating and making sure everything is perfect. But having an English Bulldog puppy, I quickly realized that everything won't be perfect... Well at least not for a while. Now that summer's around the corner, I need to get refocused and start getting the balcony on track. We're on the top floor of our building with an awesome view of the water and the CN Tower. We gotta make the most of it now! I've been looking online for some inspiration before I go out and actually start making purchases.

Who runs the world?

The much anticipated music video for Beyonce's Run the World (Girls) was finally released during American Idol on Wednesday night. I was loving all the ferocity! And what a fashion show it turned out to be! My favourite look has to be this yellow Emilo Pucci dress. The golden yellow, the wild hair. Just perfection!

My other fave look of this video was this Jean Paul Gaultier gown. Such details and complexity! And she's definitely the girl who can pull that one off!

I call it stir-fry

I love to try to new things or figure out how to make something new with what I have. And tonight, what I had was chicken breast and a bunch of veggies. I also had this "Thai Sweet and Spicy Sauce" from M&M Meat shop (left over form a gathering at our place). It literally is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, so colourful and flavourful. I've also done this before with Honey Garlic. So you can literally make this with anything you want, any sauce, any vegetables.

The steps are really simple. Start by cutting the chicken breast in whatever shape you want. Add some garlic to the pan and throw in your chicken. While the chicken is cooking, cut up the vegetables. As you can see in my pictures, I had green peppers, red peppers, red onions zucchini and eggplant. I also minced some more garlic. Once the chicken is cooked, just throw in the veggies, add some sauce and put the lid on. I like to add some cayenne pepper, mustard powder and dill weed. Et voila!

It's Britney, B****

I can honestly say I feel like my best friend has gone from total screw up to CEO of her own company. Watching Britney go through all those years of struggles and failed "come-backs," it was hard. I've always hoped that she'd find her way back to the I'm a Slave for You  times. She's on the cover of the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar and she's looking fab! Her body's looking amazing, and even better, she got her extensions under control! So happy for her. She looks absolutely beautiful on the cover in Bill Blass.

This Dolce and Gabbana dress makes me want glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling... but in a good way! It's spectacular. Raphel Young pumps complete the look.

Sexy in a lace number by Blumarine and Gyvenchy heels. Her body looks incredible. The bangs are a really good look for her too!

Bushy Brows

Has anyone noticed the fuller eyebrow look? Jennifer Connelly has been pulling it off for years now. Newby to the scene Lily Collins also has the natural look.I think it's very hard to pull off. You can easily look unkempt as oppose to foward and trendy. Eyebrows are so important to your face, and that's why it gets trippy. They frame your face and set the tone for so many of our expressions. If your brows aren't thick to begin with, I don't think you can try this; it may be too much brow to fill in. And if you have a prominent natural arch, then it may just be weird to the frame of your face. So for those of us who can't do it, let's admire.

Pink Hot

image from
Hmmm... How do I feel about hot pink lipstick? I wasn't sure at first, but then I saw so many celebs doing it; some wrong, but some right. You definitely need the right shade of pink and the appropriate amount of makeup on. We all know the rule of thumb; if you're focusing on one feature with a bang, be subtle with the rest. The worst thing is when a woman is wearing way too much makeup!

Love his Look

I loooove men's fashion. So much that my boyfriend has actually become my live ken doll. I love that men's fashion is becoming more and more daring. They can try new things and not worry about being judged. Jude Law is a perfect example of that. On paper, some of his style choices are definitely questionable. However, they mostly turn out pretty awesome! I'm loving the rolled up pants with those shoes. Also love the casualness of the suits! He's definitely making it work for him, and I can totally appreciate that.

Love her Look

Look at this woman! What's not to love. Calvin Klein obviously agrees. Zoe Saldana is gorgeous, awesome body, and even more importantly, great sense of style. This Latina bombshell has always brought her A-game to the red carpet. Her style is very young and fresh, always edgy, but not edgy enough that she falls off the edge. The perfect balance. Any red carpet event, I'm always looking to see what she has on next. Let's take a moment to appreciate great style.

Dear Santa...

How amazing are these Louboutins? If only I didn't have life standing between me and my dream shoes. These babies retail for $1095.00 USD. Considering their Christian Louboutins, that's not the worse price I've heard. Definitely on my wishlist.

Santa, if you're out there, I promise I'll be good this year!

Orgasm anyone?

image from

I've been a die-hard use of the NARS Orgasm blush for about 4 years now. I would never cheat on my Orgasm! Until now! I'm dying to try the NARS Multiple Orgasm Stick. You can use it for your eyes, cheeks, lips and even body. I have no clue how I am just now discovering this, but regardless, my excitement is still there. I'm curious to see if the stick is going to have that dewy make-up look I love so much. That's the only thing that could make it even better. Can wait to test it! Definitely a purchase I'm making this week.
