peplum twist

H&M top, jeans and bag / Steve Madden shoes / Stella and Dot Chantily Lace Earrings

Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was fantastic! We went on a quick Niagra Falls trip and I was sick the whole time. So I'm definitely in recovery mode today.  So I had to get this peplum top from H&M because it reminded me on a baseball Tee with the different coloured arms. Love the girlie twist!

the autoshow

Dollhouse leather jacket / Sears faux fur vest / Wildfox T-shirt via Harvey Nichols / H&M jeans and bag / Aldo wedges

This is an outfit I wore to The Canadian International Autoshow on the weekend. Had to go check it out with the boyfriend. Surprisingly, this outfit came together pretty easily (for me) - on the first try, might I add! What else does a girl wear to these things? Keeping it simple with the acid wash jeans, and glam with the fur.

polka dotted

Dad's old white button down / H&M skirt (like 7 years ago) / Aldo bag and wedges
Forever 21 necklace and ring / Banana Republic cuff

A print I love and don't wear enough of! Polka dots are awesome. This loud green and the big polka dots pair well with simple peices, like a white button down shirt and simple shoes. The skirt definitely needed some ironing, but I actually liked the poof of it as opposed to straight, flat pleats. I hope you guys had a great weekend!

cape meets bomber

Joe Fresh coat and boots / Zara jeans / Aldo bag

Joe Fresh coat and boots / Zara jeans / Aldo bag

I got this coat a few weeks back from Joe Fresh. I love the shape and the colour. It has the flare of a cape (which I still really want!) but with a slight look of a bomber jacket. And the camel colour is just icing on the cake for me!

Happy Friday! I hope you all have  a great weekend (great long weekend if you have one)!

hanging out... down the street...

Club Monaco shirt / Forever 21 Men's jeans / Zara shoes / Le Chateau scarf / H&M bag / Stella and Dot necklace

I love getting fancied up. It's the best part of being a girl (in my opinion)! Comfy jeans, however, are always a plus in my book. But sometimes I just want to dress them up and give them a feminine touch - a pink scarf and nude pink heels definitely do the trick. I also went pretty simple with jewelry. I usually love piling it on, but I opted for simplicity with this outfit. And how pretty is that necklace!? A little presie from the man friend (pre-Valentine's - not a fan of the holiday.)!

PS: If you guess the lyrics of my post title, you're my hero. Used to love that show!

love day

Primark blouse / Sears faux fur vest / Skirt from a flea market / Aldo shoes / ASOS clutch / TopShop cuff

People always tell me I'm so "happy" and  "bubbly." Well for for a happy, bubbly person, I'm actually not huge on Valentine's Day. Maybe it's because I always saw my dad doing cute things for my mom, or that my boyfriend spoils me enough as is, but I've always felt that acts of love should be done whenever the feeling strikes. With that said, I am still completely in love with romance, so I love the idea that people get to express their love for each other on this special day.
What can I say - I love love! Wishing you a Happy Love Day!

winter wonderland

H&M jacket, sweater, and scarf / Forever 21 jeans / Sirens booties

Just in case we forgot, mother nature decided to remind us that it's February and that means winter. Granted, we've had an unusually warm Canadian winter, so I'm not entirely annoyed by the snow. When you don't have to drive, walk far, or just deal with it in general, it's actually very pretty!

faux fur and leather

Dollhouse leather jacket / Sears faux fur vest / H&M tank, tights and bag / Mendocino shorts / Shoes from Queen St. West shop

In theory, I didn't like the sound of a leather jacket and a fur vest. However, when I tried it out I actually loved it. It works well for the weather we have in Toronto at the moment - not freezing, but not exactly spring yet. And besides, the leather and fur combo is kind of interesting (at least I think so!). Throwing in a little girly print just adds to the fun!

scattered print

Primark shirt / H&M skirt and clutch / Aldo wedges

Here's another spring dreamin' outfit with this bright blouse - this shade of pink is so yummy to me. It inspired me somehow because I braved the cold and went out bare legged (in my defense, it was a "warmer" winter day). I love this skirt from H&M, though I'm not sure what the print on it actually is. It could be splattered paint or an animal print... Sometimes it even looks like tire marks. Maybe you guys know better than I do. Either way, it's an interesting print and the black and white make it easy for outfit pairings.

bold print, bright colour

Dress from Spoof (Queen Street West) / H&M jacket / ASOS clutch / Primark shoes / TopShop bracelet

Happy Monday! This dress puts me in a good mood because of all the bright colours in it. I just had to go bold with the colours to complete the look. Go big or go home, baby!

the plumb

Guilty of doing some serious shopping on this past weekend - but I only dished the cash for the good deals! How beautiful are these Aldo "Plumb" wedges! I've worn them already and let me tell you - KILLER. But the hotness is worth it!
Best part, they were marked down major from $110 to $42.

PS: If you follow me on twitter you've already seen these. Sorry - just had to share it twice!
