protein oatmeal berry bowl

14.9.15

I've been addicted to overnight protein oatmeal bowls lately. If you’re like me and pretty much don’t have to worry about breakfast on weekdays, then these are lifesaver. Most of the work is done the night before and then the garnishing in the morning. First, you’ll need 1/3 cup of  oatmeal, 1/3 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, 1/2s scoop of protein powder and 1 table spoon of chia seeds. For the oats, you can literally use whatever oats you want. I used steel cut oats. Same goes for the milk. Sometimes I use regular milk, Almond milk or soy milk. So you mix all of these ingredients in a bowl with a lid and put them in the fridge overnight (it really needs about 3-4 hours to be ready to eat!). In the morning, you can all the extras you want. Here I garnished with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, sprinkled some more chia seeds along with flax seeds and a dash of cinnamon. Easy healthy breakfast!
